The Honeywell Training Center at the Tashkent State Technical University officially opened on Thursday, Nov. 25, with a ceremony attended by Uzbekistan government officials and Honeywell leaders. The facility, which features Honeywell’s technology, hardware and software, will provide training and laboratory experience in industrial and process engineering for both university students and Honeywell employees.
Students initially will complete training in modeling simulation for chemistry and industrial processes, and gain hands-on laboratory experience in advanced equipment used in oil refining, oil and gas production, and chemical industries. In 2011, capabilities for further instrumentation and analytics training will be added.
The Center helps Honeywell establish a pipeline for talent by providing meaningful technical training that not only attracts students but also provides them the skills required for success. In addition, as part of the agreement, many students will have the opportunity to complete internships at Honeywell locations across Uzbekistan.
